Settings (Command Center)

The Settings app is the master command center of Eviory OS. From here, you have complete control over visual personalization, AI engine connectivity, security, cloud synchronization, and local data backups.

Key Configuration Pillars

  • Visual Appearance: Customize your workspace aesthetic with Light/Dark theme switching, curated Eviory Signature Accents (e.g. Champagne Gold, Platinum, Rose Gold), custom desktop wallpapers, and analog desktop clocks.
  • Interface Mode Switcher: Toggle effortlessly between App Mode (a focused, full-width web app experience) and OS Mode (a true desktop window manager with multitasking capabilities).
  • AI Integrations (BYOK): Eviory OS operates on a strict Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) privacy model. Connect your OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Groq, DeepSeek, or OpenRouter API keys directly. Keys are stored 100% client-side in your local browser storage and never touch Eviory servers.
  • Local Data Backup & Restore: Export your entire creative workspace, configurations, and media into an encrypted .zip or .json file at any time. Restore your setup on any device instantly.
  • Automatic Cloud Sync: Active by default across all accounts to keep your content synced between devices (Free tier: up to 1,000 files, max 5MB/file; Pro tier: up to 10,000 files, max 20MB/file).
  • Factory Reset & Recovery: One-click bulk restore to reset pipelines and sample hooks, or use Clear Data to wipe all workspace records from shared devices.

Features & Workflow

  1. Appearance Customization: Open Settings → Appearance tab. Select an accent color to instantly re-theme all open windows, buttons, and desktop highlights across the entire OS.
  2. Configuring AI Keys: Navigate to the AI Integrations tab. Paste your API key from OpenAI, OpenRouter, or DeepSeek and save. All AI generation features across Eviory OS become operational immediately with your personal quota.
  3. Exporting Workspace Backups: Under the Data & Backup tab, click Backup Data Vault to download a complete compressed snapshot of your workspace database.
  4. Cloud Sync & Storage Management: View your live sync status and active file quota usage under Data & Backup. Automatic synchronization runs silently in the background across your authorized devices.
