Modern web browsers (Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Arc, Brave) provide generous storage limits for web applications (often 50MB to several gigabytes via IndexedDB). Understanding how your browser manages this storage ensures your campaigns remain safe.
Best Practices to Prevent Data Loss
1. Enable Persistent Storage Permission
When prompted by your browser to “Allow Eviory to store persistent data”, click Allow. This signals the browser operating system that Eviory OS data should never be automatically evicted even during low disk space scenarios.
2. Safely Clearing Cache
If you ever need to clear browser cache to solve styling or network glitches:
- SAFE: Clear “Cached images and files”. This will NOT delete your Eviory OS workspace database.
- CAUTION: Checking “Cookies and other site data” WILL reset your browser databases. Always export a backup file from Settings → Data & Backup before wiping site data.
3. Cleaning Up Deleted Assets in OS
If your workspace is starting to store hundreds of large images in Vault:
- Open the Trash app.
- Review deleted drafts and click Empty Trash.
- This frees up immediate indexed memory space on your machine.
Checking Storage Health
Inside Eviory OS, open Settings → Data & Backup to see your current storage utilization and database record counts in real-time.
