Because Eviory OS is a Local-First operating system, your content strategies, captions, hooks, and calendars reside in your browser’s persistent database. Performing regular exports ensures your hard work is safely archived and transferable.
How to Export (Backup) Your Workspace
- Open the Settings application from your Dashboard or Dock.
- Navigate to the Data & Backup tab.
- Click the Backup Data Vault button.
- The system will bundle your database records into an encrypted
.jsonor.ziparchive and trigger an automatic browser download. - Store this backup file in your Google Drive, iCloud, or external drive.
[!NOTE] For security reasons, your private AI API keys are never included inside export files. When restoring on a new device, you simply re-enter your API keys once.
How to Restore on a New Laptop or Browser
- On your new device or browser, navigate to your Eviory OS URL.
- Open Settings → Data & Backup.
- Under the Restore Workspace section, click Import Backup File.
- Select the
.jsonor.zipbackup archive from your disk. - Confirm the restore. Eviory OS will rebuild your entire database, restoring all content calendars, hooks, transcripts, and vaults in seconds.
Automatic Cloud Sync & Multi-Device Access
Eviory OS includes Cloud Sync enabled by default for all accounts, allowing your workspace records and media to synchronize seamlessly between your laptop, desktop, and tablet browsers without manual file handling.
