Dashboard

The Dashboard is the app launcher and central menu of Eviory OS. It gives you a bird’s-eye view of all available applications in a full-screen overlay.

Key Features

  • App Grid: Displays all available applications. Core system utilities (like the Dashboard itself or the Onboarding wizard) are intentionally hidden from this grid to maintain a clean interface.
  • Taskbar Pinning: Pin or unpin your most-used apps to the bottom taskbar for quick access.
  • Quick Search: A central search bar that automatically focuses when you open the Dashboard, allowing you to instantly filter apps by typing.

How to Use

  1. Launch App: Click any app icon in the grid to open it in a new window over your workspace.
  2. Pin to Taskbar: Hover over an app icon and click the small pin icon that appears in the top right corner to add it to your persistent taskbar. Click the filled pin to remove it.
  3. Search: Start typing immediately when the dashboard is open to filter the app list. Click anywhere outside the search bar and grid to close the Dashboard overlay.
